Welcome Back Concert:
Die Walküre

August 28, 2021 at 7:00 PM
Seattle Center, Fisher Pavilion Lawn

Music and Libretto by Richard Wagner

Up to two children 6 & under are free with the purchase of an adult ticket*.

In celebration of our community and our return to in-person performances we invite you to join us for a spectacular outdoor event. The music of Richard Wagner's iconic opera will fill the Seattle Center campus from the Fisher Pavilion Lawn to the International Fountain. This abridged version of Die Walküre will feature more than two hours of Wagner’s incredible music kicking off with the ever-popular and blood-stirring “The Ride of the Valkyries.”

Although lawn tickets for this event are sold out, everyone is welcome to come down to the International Fountain and enjoy this special concert for free. The sound will be broadcast across the campus and jumbo screens will be viewable from the fountain area. This event will go on rain or shine.

Food Donations

Bring food donations for Plymouth Housing to the Welcome Back Concert! Plymouth Housing provides permanent supportive housing to over 1,000 people who previously experienced long-term homelessness. In September, they'll begin welcoming 91 residents to their newest building, Kristin Benson Place, located across the street from McCaw Hall. To welcome our new neighbors, we are accepting donations from this list of needs (please, only food items off this list). If you are parking at the Mercer Street Garage, drop your donations near the front door of McCaw Hall.  If you are coming onto the campus from another location, you can drop your donations near Guest Services/Will Call at the concert.
