$25 Tickets for Every Performance
$25 tickets are available in the Second Tier Side Upper for every performance at McCaw Hall unless otherwise specified. These seats typically sell out quickly so we highly recommend purchasing them as far in advance as possible.

Student & Senior Rush
How do I sign up?
Students and seniors may submit the form below to join our rush program. Then bring your rush member card and your ID for verification to McCaw Hall on a performance night. You may also sign up in person at the McCaw Hall box office the night of a performance.
STUDENT & SENIOR RUSH SIGN UP FORM
After submitting the form to the box office, each eligible person will receive a membership card via email to use to purchase future rush tickets. For the 2018/19 season, students with valid ID may purchase one $25 ticket per performance, and seniors 65+ with valid ID may purchase one $45 ticket per performance.
When are tickets available and how do I purchase them?
Rush tickets are subject to availability and are offered only when we have at least 50 seats open for sale on the day of the performance. Once we have fewer than 50 seats open, we will no longer offer rush tickets. When available, rush tickets are sold starting at 5:30 PM. for evening performances and noon for matinee performances. Each person must be present with valid ID to purchase a rush ticket. Limit one rush ticket per person. Rush members will be presented with the two best seating options available at the rush discount. Due to the high demand of rush tickets, we are unable to allow rush ticket buyers to select other seats. If you have specific seating requirements, please purchase a full price ticket. Seat options are at the discretion of Seattle Opera. Rush is not available in the Dress Circle. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Rush Ticket Availability for Carmen will be announced approximately May 1.
Rush availability for each mainstage opera will be posted approximately two days before each performance and will be updated whenever a change occurs.
Rush is not offered for chamber operas such as The Falling and the Rising.
Seattle Opera offers standing room tickets for all performances at McCaw Hall. For the main season, standing room tickets are $20 per person. Standing room is in the back of the Orchestra and you do, literally, stand throughout the performance. You may not sit in any unoccupied seats, but there is a padded rail to lean against. Standing room tickets become available on the day of the performance or, for Sunday performances, one day before. To purchase standing room tickets, call the Ticket Office at 206.389.7676 or visit our administrative offices at 363 Mercer St. on the day of the show starting when the ticket office opens (10 AM for weekday performance days; noon for Saturday performance days). Standing room tickets are not available online. Please be aware that the English translations are not visible from the standing room location in the back of the Orchestra seating, and that availability is extremely limited.
CHILDREN'S TICKETS & FAMILY DAY
At least once a year, Seattle Opera designates a Sunday "Family Day" matinee. For these specially designated performances in the 2018/19 season, students 18 and under in the company of an adult pay only $20 for almost any seat. Family Days also feature special student-oriented activities before the performance and/or during intermission, such as a costume dress-up station or the chance to interact with members of the chorus and orchestra.
Upcoming Family Day performances are:
- Carmen: Sunday, May 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM
Please note: Valid student ID or proof of age is required for entry. At least one full price adult ticket must be purchased with EVERY student ticket order. Adult and $20 tickets must be in the same seating zone. Limit four $20 student tickets for each full price adult ticket purchased. Student tickets are not available in the Dress Circle, Orchestra Center Aisle, and $25 Second Tier seating sections.

Tickets will be held at will call and educator ID must be presented when picking up the tickets at the Box Office.

Seattle Opera is a proud participant in Seattle Center's Teen Tix program. When available, enrolled teens can purchase opera tickets for $5 on the day of the performance, one ticket per member. Teen Tix tickets are subject to availability and are only available when Student and Senior Rush tickets are also available; please check the Student and Senior Rush availability listed above. If a performance is sold out or close to sold out, Teen Tix will not be available.
Day-of-show ticket availability at Seattle Opera is often limited. We strongly recommend calling the ticket office in advance to ask whether there will be Teen Tix tickets available for any given performance. Because Seattle Opera does not conduct regular box office hours on Sundays, Teen Tix members who wish to purchase tickets for a Sunday performance may call to purchase tickets on the Saturday prior to the Sunday performance they wish to see.
