Dust off the enchanted carriage and bring the whole family to this unique Cinderella-themed event! To celebrate each company’s upcoming production of Cinderella, Seattle Opera and Pacific Northwest Ballet are teaming up for a magical afternoon of song and dance. Move throughout the Opera Center for special activities hosted by PNB and Seattle Opera artists and staff. You'll start off making music with Seattle Opera teaching artists leading you in a chorus sing-along from Rossini’s heartwarming classic. Then, you’ll learn a dance from Kent Stowell’s enchanting ballet, led by PNB Ballet Master Otto Neubert. You’ll also have the chance to make your very own mask for the ball and even take a picture with Cinderella herself!

Each program lasts about an hour. Join us before or after your appointed time for fun craft activities and a meet-and-greet with Cinderella!

Plus, don't miss either production of this fairytale classic!

Seattle Opera's Cinderella

Seattle Opera's Cinderella
Oct. 19–Nov. 1, 2019

Rossini’s flowery adaptation of the ultimate rags-to-riches story mixes tenderness and frivolity with fabulous results. Inspired by Charles Dickens and the cheeky “panto” shows enjoyed in English music halls, our new-to-Seattle production takes place in and around a Victorian emporium, complete with fabulous costumes and a dash of stage magic. From its first class overture to its high-flying “happily ever after” finale, this valentine to kindness sparkles with an enchantment all its own.

Pacific Northwest Ballet Cinderella

PNB’s Cinderella
Jan. 31–Feb. 9, 2020

Kent Stowell’s Cinderella combines storytelling, choreography, Prokofiev’s familiar score, and superb design to transport the lonely heroine from her wistful fireside dreams to a dazzling palace ball. There, Cinderella and her prince shimmer like diamonds at the center of a scarlet-clad waltz for one of PNB’s most spectacular scenes.
