Seattle Opera’s staff-led Equity Team invites you for a dialogue about the future of our company—specifically, our work toward becoming an antiracist, multicultural organization. At this next Community Conversation, we will unveil our Racial Equity and Social Impact (RESI) plan, which has been in development for the past year. The RESI plan was created following a comprehensive survey of more than 200 artists, staff, volunteers, and board members. We are grateful to receive feedback from you, our community—especially from Black, Indigenous, and other PoC, whose perspectives have been historically underrepresented in opera.
Moderated by Alex Minami, Community Engagement Manager, this conversation will feature Dominica Myers, Associate Director of Administration, who spearheaded the effort to develop this plan, along with members of Seattle Opera’s staff and Equity Team, who will discuss the company-wide initiatives to implement this plan in the coming years.
