Gianni Schicchi/Enchanted Child
In the spring, the Young Artists return to Bellevue’s Theatre at Meydenbauer Center for two
classic one-act operas. Both are sterling examples of ensemble opera, and both deal with the issues
of how people relate to each other. Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi is a comic masterpiece of
cunning characterization, in which virtually every line crackles with life. Ravel’s Enchanted
Child is a very special piece which reveals something unique and treasurable about the mystery
of childhood.
Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for students 18 and under. Special patron priced tickets
are available for $125 and cover the full cost of the production.
