One of the world’s most popular operas, Tosca boasts an action-packed story, larger than life characters, and some of Puccini’s most beautiful music, including the showstopper aria “Vissi d’arte.” Famed opera diva Floria Tosca wants revolutionary painter Cavaradossi’s sole romantic attention. Menacing chief of police Scarpia wants Tosca at any cost. The resulting clash between all-consuming passion, unbridled lust, and political dissent makes for a gut-wrenching rollercoaster ride, with plenty of great opportunities for all three principal singers to show off their artistry and individuality.
