Eugene Onegin

A young woman's infatuation meets an aristocrat's insensitivity in the retelling of one of literature's most poignant stories.

Set in the opulent Russian Empire, the opera tells the story of a dashing but jaded gentleman - Eugene Onegin. Onegin lacks empathy and suffers from restlessness, melancholy, and finally, regret. Tatyana is the young, passionate, and virtuous girl who falls hopelessly under Onegin's spell. Onegin's rejection of Tatyana sets in motion a series of events that culminates in remorse, loneliness, and love unfulfilled.
