Got up after a bit of a lie-in and spoke to my mother in England. She hasn't been feeling well so I wanted to make sure she was doing better.

Showered and out to meet Joseph before the rehearsal at 2pm. We were going to run act 2 but as Kevin had a run of the entire opera with the silver cast in the evening, we didn't do the whole act but mainly the bits with Richard and me. It went well and the dialogue felt a lot better suddenly. Joseph and I did some work afterwards, just going over his notes and covering a few bits he wanted me to sing again. As soon as we get into working, it's just the same as when I was at college, and is a nice feeling to have had this continuiety of my lessons, and to see Joseph for little 'tune ups' as he likes to call them.

We had a coffee afterwards then I drove home. Jenny called to say that my husband was not feeling well, so I rushed home to see him. He went to bed and I started to feel a little ill myself, but went to pick up Joseph to take him to Jenny's for dinner.

We had a nice dinner and had fun with the boys, though my stomach started to feel a little tender, so after I took him back to the hotel I came home and decided to go to bed early and hope all is well tomorrow.
