Come celebrate the opening of our Young Artists opera, a new production of Verdi’s Falstaff!
The merriment begins with a champagne reception, followed by the performance of Falstaff, directed by Peter Kazaras and conducted by Dean Williamson. The festivities conclude with an elegant dinner.
All proceeds benefit Seattle Opera’s Education programs. Ticket packages for the gala reception, performance and dinner are available as well as group and corporate tables.
For more information or to make your reservations, please visit the Gala online or contact Special Events Manager Jennifer Johnson by E-mail or phone at 206-676-5535.
Seattle Opera’s Young Artists Program, founded in 1997, is one of the premier training programs for emerging opera performers in the U.S. and provides career guidance and training for young professional singers in all aspects of a career in opera. Their training culminates in the presentation of a fully staged opera production.
Falstaff is the first Verdi opera presented by the Young Artists and is a new production that brings together again the team that designed and directed last season’s opera, Britten’s Turn of the Screw. Peter Kazaras, recently named Artistic Director of the Young Artists Program, will direct, with scenic design by Donald Eastman and costume design by Cynthia Savage. Dean Williamson conducts the production, which features orchestration by Jonathan Dove.
