Weston Hurt made his Seattle Opera debut as Giorgio Germont in Verdi’s Traviata. Other recent debuts for Hurt include Sharpless in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly at Atlanta Opera and Schaunard in Puccini’s Bohème at Dallas Opera. Hurt has appeared as Frank in Korngold’s Tote Stadt and Sharpless at New York City Opera, Baldassare in Cilea’s Arlesiana with Opera Orchestra of New York, Enrico in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor with Arizona Opera, Amonasro in Verdi's Aida at El Paso Opera, and the Count in Mozart's Nozze di Figaro at Michigan Opera Theatre. His concert repertoire includes Handel’s Messiah, Fauré’s Requiem, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Bach’s Mass in B Minor and Magnificat, Mozart’s Mass in C Minor and Coronation Mass, Haydn’s Paukenmesse, and Britten’s War Requiem. Future performances include Lord Cecil in Donizetti's Maria Stuarda at Canadian Opera Company and Carmina Burana with Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
