Thomas Forde received his M.M. from the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music. This summer, he joins the Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Program. Forde recently performed at Dallas Opera as Cesare Angelotti in Puccini’s Tosca and the Fifth Jew in Richard Strauss’s Salome, and at Skylight Opera as Colline in Puccini’s Bohème. He has also performed the Mandarin in Puccini’s Turandot with Fort Worth Opera, Baron Douphol in Verdi’s Traviata with Shreveport Opera, and Zuniga in Bizet’s Carmen with Ash-Lawn Opera, as well as performances with Des Moines Metro Opera, Utah Festival Opera, Central City Opera, and Tulsa Opera. Major roles include Raimondo in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Figaro in Mozart’s Nozze di Figaro, Don Alfonso in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Frank Maurrant in Weill’s Street Scene, the title role in Rossini’s Turco in Italia, Le Philosophe in Massenet’s Chérubin, Masetto in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, and Seneca in Monteverdi’s Incoronazione di Poppea.
