Stephen Cairns appears as Lancelot in Seattle Opera’s production of Jake Heggie’s End of the Affair. He is in the third grade and has appeared in several Seattle Opera productions, including Bellini’s Norma, Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, Daniel Catán’s Florencia en el Amazonas, and the 2005 production of Wagner’s Ring des Nibelungen. He enjoys acting, a variety of sports, old-time radio, and playing the piano. Cairns wants to be a carpenter or an actor when he grows up.
