Bio

Mexico City-native Raúl Salcedo is a Spanish and flamenco dancer who has worked with such companies as Homenaje in Seattle, the American Bolero Dance Company in New York, and Flamenco Rosario in Vancouver, among others. He has performed in Bizet’s Carmen and Verdi’s Traviata, with companies including Teatro de la Ciudad, Tulsa Opera Company, and Miami Opera. Salcedo and his wife, dancer Marisol Moreno, own a dance studio in Cancún, Mexico, and a Spanish dance company, Esencia, and the pair regularly teaches at the Conchita Espinosa Conservatory of the Arts in Miami. He makes his Seattle Opera debut with these performances.
