Bio

Michelle Trovato recently made her debut with Opera Colorado as Norina in David Gately’s “Wild West” production of Donizetti’s Don Pasquale for the student matinee performance. Additional roles include Adele in Johann Strauss Jr.’s Fledermaus, Adina in Donizetti’s Elisir d’amore, Susanna in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto, and Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen. A graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts and a 2009 finalist in Northwest region Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions, Trovato was recently awarded France’s Les Azuriales Opera First Prize for Most Promising Singer. This summer, she will be a Festival Artist with Utah Festival Opera.
