Bio

Jordan Bisch makes his Seattle Opera debut as Daedalus/Father in Daron Aric Hagen’s Amelia. A graduate of the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, Bisch made his debut with the Met as the Second Knight in Wagner’s Parsifal. In January he sang Raimondo in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor in his Florida Grand Opera debut. His other recent engagements include his San Francisco Opera debut as Angelotti in Puccini’s Tosca, his European debut as Paolo in a concert version of Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra at the Verbier Festival, Second Armored Man in Mozart’s Zauberflöte at Los Angeles Opera, Frère Laurent in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette with PORTopera, and Sarastro in Zauberflöte with Juilliard Opera Center. A Vancouver, Washington, native, Bisch was one of the winners of the 2005 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and recently won second place in the 2009 Operalia competition.
