Jeffrey Beruan recently sang the Old Hebrew in Saint-Saëns’s Samson et Dalila at New Opera Saint Louis. As a Portland Opera Studio Artist Beruan sang the King in Verdi’s Aida, Superintendent Budd in Britten’s Albert Herring, and Zuniga in Bizet’s Carmen, among others. He has performed Snug in Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream at Lyric Opera of Kansas City and with Opera North’s Young Artists Program. Beruan has also participated in the young artist programs at Chautauqua Opera, Tulsa Opera, and Utah Festival Opera. A finalist in the 2007 Northwest District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Beruan will return to Chautauqua Opera this summer to sing Angelotti in Puccini’s Tosca.
