James Bobick has sung numerous roles at New York City Opera including Schaunard in the Emmy-winning broadcast of Puccini’s Bohème and John Shears in Britten’s Paul Bunyan in the 1998 telecast. His other roles for that company include Elviro in Handel’s Xerxes, Masetto in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, and St. Brioche in Lehar’s The Merry Widow. In North America, he has sung Guglielmo in Mozart's Così fan tutte for Portland Opera, Figaro in Rossini's Barbiere di Siviglia with Virginia Opera, and Marcello in Puccini’s Bohème for Connecticut Opera. He has sung at Opera Pacific, Opera Omaha, Opera Delaware, Baltimore Opera, Dayton Opera, Fort Worth Opera, and Central City Opera. Bobick makes his Seattle Opera debut in Heggie’s End of the Affair.
