Bio
The daughter of Wolfgang Wagner and Ellen Drexel, Eva Wagner-Pasquier worked as a personal assistant to her father, the director of the Bayreuth Festival, from 1967 to 1975. Concurrently, she worked in opera production at the Vienna State Opera and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. As an executive at Unitel Films, she oversaw opera and concert productions until 1984. Following that, she was an opera director at Covent Garden for three years, and then director of programming at Opera Bastille from 1987 to 1993. Since then, she has been an artistic consultant at the Houston Grand Opera, the Théatre du Châtelet in Paris, and Teatro Real in Madrid. Wagner-Pasquier is currently artistic consultant at the Festival d’Aix en Provence in France and also acts as senior artistic advisor to The Metropolitan Opera.
