Eduardo Chama


Eduardo Chama has previously been seen at Seattle Opera in the title role in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale and Leporello in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, a role he has also sung at Opera Colorado, New Israeli Opera, Connecticut Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, Nashville Opera, and Florentine Opera. He has performed Figaro in Mozart’s Nozze di Figaro at Calgary Opera, Orlando Opera, Cleveland Opera, and Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Dusseldorf, among others. Chama recently sang Sancho Panza in Massenet's Don Quixote at San Diego Opera and Don Magnifico in Rossini’s Cenerentola at Glimmerglass Opera. His other roles include the four villains in Offenbach’s Contes d’Hoffmann and Méphistophélès in Gounod's Faust at Calgary Opera, Mustafà in Rossini’s Italiana in Algeri at Palm Beach Opera, the title role in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi at Connecticut Opera and New Israeli Opera, and Dr. Bartolo in Rossini's Barber of Seville in San Diego. He has also been seen at Florida Grand Opera, Opéra de Montréal, Netherlands, Vlaamse, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, L’Opéra Français de New York, and New York City Opera. In the 2009/10 season, he sang the title role in Seattle Opera's Falstaff and returns as Sancho Panza in Don Quichotte.
