David Crawford


David Crawford was a member of Seattle Opera’s 2002/03 Young Artists Program and sang Schaunard in the 2003 Young Artists’ production of La bohème. He made his Seattle Opera mainstage in Lohengrin. While finishing his master’s degree in Boston, Crawford appeared twice with Boston Lyric Opera, singing the role of the Monk in Verdi’s Don Carlos and the Lawyer and Second Judge in Machover’s Resurrection. He has trained with Utah Festival Opera Company’s young artists program and the Chautauqua Opera Studio Artist program. In Fall 2003, he joined the Florida Grand Opera Young Artist Program where he sang Marquis D’Obigny in Verdi’s Traviata and, in 2004, The Bonze in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and The Speaker in Mozart’s Zauberflöte. In the summer of 2005, he will sing the title role in Mozart’s Nozze di Figaro with the San Francisco Opera Merola program.
