Bio

Claude Girard’s set designs used at Seattle Opera include Giordano’s Andrea Chénier in 1996 and Gounod’s Faust in 1998. In his native Canada, he has designed sets, costumes, and lighting for opera productions in Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver. In the United States, his work has been seen in Philidelphia, Portland, Tulsa, Detroit, Dayton, and Louisville, among others. Girard also has worked extensively in theater and ballet. His designs for Pagliacci will be seen at Seattle Opera in 2008.
