Bio
Anthony Roth Costanzo recently performed Nireno in Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egito as a member of Glimmerglass Opera’s Young American Artists Program. A Grand Finals winner of the 2009 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Costanzo also recently won first place in the Opera Index and National Opera Association competitions, as well as a Sullivan Foundation Award. He appeared in the Merchant Ivory film A Soldier’s Daughter Never Cries. Upcoming engagements include the Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas and the title role in Handel's Tolomeo at Glimmerglass Opera, and his New York Philharmonic debut as Prince Go-Go in Ligeti’s Grand Macabre in 2010.
