Anna Björnsdotter
Costume Designer

Anna Björnsdotter’s costume designs have been seen in both her native Sweden and in the U.S. This production of Falstaff marks her return to Seattle Opera after Bellini's Norma in 2003 and her fifth collaboration with director Peter Kazaras. Other opera credits include Rossini’s Barber of Seville at Opera Pacific, Janácek’s Jenufa at Long Beach Opera, Mozart’s Finta giardiniera and Puccini’s Bohème at San Francisco Opera Center, Mark Adamo’s Little Women at the Cabrillo Music Festival, and Gounod’s Faust for West Bay Opera, among others. This spring Björnsdotter will make her debut at Los Angeles Opera with Schreker’s Gezeichneten as part of the Recovered Voices series. Film credits include costume design for Practical Poses for the Practical Artist (for which she received the Best Costumes award from the Polo Ralph Lauren New Works Film Festival) and Pink Octopus (which was featured at the Berlin Film Festival), and PIG.
