Pianist and coach Allen Perriello returns to Seattle Opera this season for Werther (with the Young Artists Program) and Madama Butterfly, following his debut with Don Quichotte last season. In the 2010/11 season, Perriello also joined the music staff at Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, and Des Moines Metro Opera. A recent graduate of the Adler fellowship at San Francisco Opera, previous engagements include the Merola Opera Program, Opera Cleveland, Rising Star Opera Theater, and Ash Lawn Opera. Active as a collaborative pianist, Perriello has been featured in San Francisco Opera's Schwabacher Debut Recital series. This fall, he will appear in recital with tenor Alek Shrader in Kansas City's Harriman-Jewell Series. He was awarded the Best Collaborative Pianist Prize in the 2008 Lotte Lehmann Foundation Competition. The Gibsonia, PA, native holds degrees from Ithaca College and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
