Dana Pundt

Dana Pundt was born and raised in a small East Texas town called Hog Eye (now known as Liberty City), where she was first exposed to opera through the fledgling company Opera East Texas. After high school, she went on to earn both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Vocal Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She has participated in several training and outreach programs, including Rising Star Singers of Indiana, Glimmerglass Opera, and Opera Iowa/Des Moines Metro Opera, where she studied and performed roles such as Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Violetta in La traviata, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Mélisande in Pelleas et Mélisande, and Blanche in Dialogues of the Carmelites. Pundt makes her Seattle Opera mainstage debut in the 2012/13 season as Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica and will also sing Marchesa del Poggio in the Young Artists Program production of Un Giorno di Regno.
