Amanda Opuszynski, a native of Manchester, CT, is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Maryland Opera Studio. As a Seattle Opera Young Artist, she has performed the roles of the Prima Donna in Viva la mamma! and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni. Amanda covered the role of Kitty in Menotti's The Last Savage as a member of The Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Singer Program 2011. Her other favorite roles include Adina in L’elisir d’amore and Musetta in La bohème. Amanda was a member of the Wolf Trap Opera Studio in 2009 and has also appeared with the Ohio Light Opera. She won an Encouragement Award in the Middle-Atlantic Regional Finals of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions 2009-2010. Amanda makes her Seattle Opera mainstage debut this season as Frasquita in Carmen and returns to the Young Artists Program as Sophie in Werther and Norina in Don Pasquale.
