Priti Gandhi

Priti Gandhi made her Seattle Opera debut as the Third Wood Sprite in the 2001 production of Dvořák’s Rusalka and returned as the Slave in R. Strauss’s Salome. She has appeared as the Second Lady in Mozart’s Zauberflöte at San Diego Opera; Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Mozart Opera Theatre of Prague; and Maddalena in Verdi’s Rigoletto at Opera Aguascalientes in Mexico.  Future engagements at San Diego Opera include the role of Emilia in Verdi’s Otello and Varvara in Janáček’s Katya Kabanova.  In 2004, Gandhi makes her Austin Lyric Opera debut singing Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte.  In the 2003-2004 Seattle Opera season, she will sing in the company’s new productions of Parsifal and Ariadne auf Naxos.
