Leadership Gifts Manager

Seattle Opera is accepting applications for the position of Leadership Gifts Manager. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Associate Director of Development – Leaderhship Giving and will focus on corporate, foundation and government relations to support Seattle Opera’s Annual Fund giving as well as the Campaign For Seattle Opera – a specific effort to raise capital, endowment and special operating funds.

Scope & Principal Accountabilities

This position is responsible for managing the Company’s development efforts as they apply to corporations, foundations, government agencies, and arts funding institutions i.e. PONCHO and ArtsFund, and works across the Development Department to ensure effective cultivation and stewardship of campaign prospects and donors.

Works with campaign volunteers and integrates the coordination of the campaign with other development department programs and activities. Position maintains an effective prospect management program and provides coordination of campaign activity with other company departments in order to ensure an effective corporate/foundation/government relations program that meets campaign objectives and fulfils the Company’s long-term philanthropic potential.

Position requires working in close partnership with the Communications and Marketing Department to coordinate stewardship and recognition of leadership gifts.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree. 3-5 years corporate/foundation fundraising or professional sales experience. Excellent relationhip-building skills. Superb written and verbal communication skills.
