Seattle Opera is accepting applications for the position of Annual Fund Manager. This full-time, salaried position reports to the Individual Giving and Information Giving Officer, will manage direct mail and direct phone solicitation programs and support achieving overall individual giving goals including special projects.
This position is responsible for managing the Company’s development efforts as they apply to individual support via direct mail and direct phone solicitations while supporting all annual individual giving programs and special project funding.
This position is tasked to:
• Develop and implement a year-round direct mail and direct phone campaign including strategies, solicitation activities and reports for donors and prospects, in consultation with the Senior Development team.
• Provide customer service support to donors and patrons regarding donations, benefits and other related-questions.
• Coordinate with Development Operations Staff, to assure accurate and timely pledge entry and acknowledgement process for Individual Donors.
• Coordinate with the Development Research Associate to develop and manage strategies to optimize solicitation prospect lists using prospect modeling and screening data.
• Develop and manage plan with Direct Sales Manager in the implementation of telefundraising campaigns.
• Plan and coordinate special premiums, incentives, and support materials for all phone solicitation.
Position requires working in close partnership with the Communications and Marketing Department to coordinate and manage Direct Phone solicitation programs.
Bachelors Degree. 3-5 years work in development. Success in creating and executing direct marketing campaigns a plus. Must have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Skilled in Windows software including Word, Excel, Publisher. Experience with Tessitura constituent management software preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of fund raising principals and direct marketing trends and techniques. Must be self-motivated, comfortable working in a collaborative environment, detail-oriented, accurate, patient, and of good humor.
Flexibility in scheduling related to evening and/or weekend work.
